Over my time, living in the middle east I have become more and more exposed to traditions and the contrast between european celebrations and middle eastern. With middle eastern celebrations its more family orientated and has an element of unity, whereas in europe you find more and more celebrations spent with freinds on a larger scale and family on a smaller scale.
(When I say celebration i'm refering to birthdays, engagements, partys etc)
Now before I jump into celebrations, lets talk about the fun stuff first, seeing as the segment is about FASHION I thought I would talk about what is worn to these celebrations.
In Europe, outfits are found to be classy yet casual, people are more commonly dressed in dresses, playsuits, jumpsuits, paired with daring heels that brings the outfits together
In the middle east for engangements you find more traditional outfits to be worn such as, the Jalabeeya, which is a traditional dress, it is carefully designed with beautiful embroydery ontop of a beautiful base colour, however you do find some with several colours with embroydery and patterns, in europe they are known as Kaftans
As you can see my bestie here is dressed in her Jalabeeya for a henna party and you can see the gorgeous design, but can we just appreciate how snatched her waist is!!!
